It started in 1979, when Howard Curran founded J&M Masonry Inc. — laying brick and stone and, down the line, transitioning into mainly concrete. He built his name on a simple belief: the only way to build a business is the same way you build a foundation — square, level, and honest.
His son, Matt Curran, grew up on those job sites. Rather than join J&M, Matt set out to carry the family trade forward under his own name, founding Curran Concrete & Masonry Inc. With over a decade of hands-on experience, he's continuing his father's legacy as a second-generation concrete and masonry craftsman — running his own crews, on his own jobs, to the same standard he was raised on.
The tools have changed; the standard hasn't. We still measure twice. We still call before we start. We still come back if something isn't right.

- Are you licensed and insured?
- Yes. Curran Concrete & Masonry Inc. is a fully insured Ontario corporation, and we carry WSIB coverage for our crews.
- When is the best time of year to pour concrete in Ontario?
- Late spring through fall is ideal, but with proper mix design, blankets and cold-weather practices we pour into the shoulder seasons as well. Booking early in the season gets you the best scheduling.
- Do you do commercial and agricultural work?
- We do. Along with residential driveways, patios and foundations, we pour shop floors, equipment pads and barn slabs, and handle excavation, grading and layout for farm and light commercial builds.
